9 Week Bringing our Mindfulness Practice into Fall


Themes will include: Mindfulness of Breath, Body, Metta, Working with the Witness, RAIN, Loving Kindness and more.

Details:

9 weeks of mindfulness related practices (Class is once a week) 
Wednesdays 7:30 PM from 8:30 PM 
Duration: 60 minutes 
On the Zoom Platform

 


Program Duration:
Starts September 4th 2024. Cycle ends October 30th.
(Exact class dates cycle: 09/04, 09/11, 09/18, 09/25, 10/02, 10/09,10/16, 10/23 and 10/30)

 


  • 5 minute welcoming and discussion of class outline.
  • 5 minutes mindful movement.
  • 15 minute arriving meditation to come into the present.
  • 5-10 minute check-in and group discussion.Q&A and sharing of meditation experience.
  • 5-10 minute talk on inner resources covered.
  • 15 minute guided meditation around inner resource.
  • Close.


 

The program is free of charge. If you would like to make a donation however, so we can cover our expenses, when registering for one or both of the 6-week programs, $55 is suggested. Any amount is gratefully received. We kindly request when registering for this program to attend every week; classes are provided in a specific sequence.

  • Respect to all students regardless of age, gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation or religious affiliation, physical and psychological limitation or political beliefs.
  • Respect the beliefs, values, and aspirations of all meditation students and celebrate differences. Remain mindful of fact that as a white, cisgender and heterosexual female the teacher can never fully understand the perspective, joys and struggles of Black, BIPOC, Latinix and LGBTQ+ students and remain vigilant around the inner shadow related to being white and being part of the dominant culture.
  • Protect every student’s right to privacy and confidentiality.
  • Communicate with students in a respectful, courteous, compassionate and honest manner.
  • Maintain a comfortable, safe, clean and comfortable environment for on-site classes.
  • Be considerate of the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual needs of students and ask students to do the same for their peers.
  • Avoid interaction that could compromise the integrity of the teacher-student relationship.
  • Abide by all relevant business and legislative requirements in the area of practice, including, but not limited to, insurance, marketing, and advertising, and copyright.
  • Make an effort to live ethically, with a kind and caring attitude, respectful of all life. Assume students make efforts to do the same. And to: 1. Refraining from taking life 2. Refraining from taking what is not given 3. Refraining from the misuse of the senses 4. Refraining from wrong speech 5. Refraining from intoxicants that cloud the mind.
  • Reserve the right to refuse a student or to ask a student to leave the class or group if there is immediate danger to the student, the other students or the teacher. Reserve the right to ask a student to leave in case of misconduct by the student.
